The Awareness Center, Inc. is the international Jewish Coalition Against Sexual Abuse/Assault.  We are a survivor based organization dedicated to ending sexual abuse/assault in Jewish communities internationally.  We are an a non-profit organization with 501c3 status.  We offer information and resources for survivors, parents, and professionals, including a speakers bureau.

 
For Hope and Healing Table of Contents Articles The Awareness Center’s Chapters: Self-help and Networking Groups Holistic Healing Finding A Counselor Finding An Attorney ______________________________________ Research History of Past Sexual Abuse in Married Observant Jewish Women by Rachel Yehuda, PhD., Michelle Friedman, MD, Talli Rosenbaum, PT, Ellen Labinsky, PhD, and James Schmeider, PhD. ______________________________________ Happenings As you may imagine, running a non-profit during these economical times is quite the challenge   The Awareness Center is doing everything possible to keep our expenses down so that we can remain a force in the fight to end sexual violence in ALL Jewish communities around the globe.  The Awareness Center is very grateful to find three dedicated volunteers who are starting chapters in Philadelphia and Brooklyn.  Sarah Porter is the chapter leader of our Pennsylvania group.  Israel Arpel agreed to be the chapter leader for the state of New York, with the assistance of Jeneba Charkey.  ______________________________________ Finding Help To Heal The Awareness Center is in the process of updating our online "International Resource Guide For Survivors of Sexual Trauma".   The Awareness Center is in the process of updating our online, International Resource Guide For Jewish Survivors of Sexual Trauma (childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, rape, marital rape, professional sexual misconduct, clergy sexual abuse, sexual harassment).  We are looking for professionals who are educated and experienced working with survivors for possible inclusion on site.
